Do you need a perfect DIY craft idea for your kids to make for Mother’s Day? I have an idea for you!

My girls, Katie and Sophia, made these paper flowers for their Grandma for Valentine’s Day. My girls each made a flower. Their Grandma loved the flowers my girls made for her.

These flowers will also work for Mother’s Day. Each child can made a flower and wrap the flowers together when down.

One thing my girls, Katie and Sophia, love to do on a nice day is go outside. Sometimes we’ll bring out the chalk container and draw on the sidewalk in the front yard. Do your kids love to create chalk art on the sidewalk? What do they love to draw?

My girls, Katie and Sophia, aren’t school age yet, but Katie will be in about couple years. So I’m preparing myself for what school will be like for her. I’ve done some research on schools today by what I’ve heard from others and read online and in magazines.

This post is inspired by an article I read in the Parents Magazine called, “Skills of Tomorrow.”

Things have changed in school since I went to school. Ways of learning is different and daily practices in school.

A Trip to the Zoo

Do you love taking multiple trips to the zoo in the summer? What animals do your children love to see the most?

Last week was our first trip to the zoo this summer. It was a perfect day to go to the Dakota Zoo – low eighties with a slight breeze. There will definitely be more trips. We will be buying a zoo pass for the next time we go. A zoo pass is worth it since we will be taking our girls to the zoo a lot this summer.

Minnie Mouse Birthday Party Theme

When throwing a birthday party for your kids, do you use basic decorations or do you go with a theme? Is everything very simple or do you go all out?

Katie turned 2 years old back in October. I made an album to summarize Katie’s year 2 of life. We picked a Minnie Mouse theme for her birthday party. Katie loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so we thought this theme would be a perfect fit for her.
