Egg and Avocado Toast

Do you need a healthy idea for breakfast? I have an idea for you. Plus it’s easy to make.

The taste of avocado and eggs is perfect. I love eating over easy eggs with sliced avocados underneath. So I thought, why not add the two on top of a slice of toast? I smashed avocado on top of the toast and added a sliced boiled egg. So good!

If you want to change it up, add sliced tomatoes on top of the toast instead of the eggs. They both taste really good.

Banana Boats with Peanut Butter & Granola

Do you or your kids love bananas? Are bananas a go-to breakfast or snack? I have an idea for you. Bananas are great by themselves, but they are even better when you dress them up with additional ingredients.

My girls, Katie and Sophia, love bananas. Sometimes we’ll eat the bananas plain. Other times we’ll like to change things up.

What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Do you make something simple or make a big breakfast?

I usually like to make something that is quick to prepare. There are some mornings we go really simple and eat cereal for breakfast. Katie requests cereal all the time for breakfast. She especially loves my granola cereal.

Another thing I love to eat is fruit. I either add it to the side of the meal or add the fruit into the food. The first thing that is very common to eat in my house is fruit wraps. Katie and I love to eat the wraps.

Do you love pancakes? Katie and Sophia love pancakes. I make my girls pancakes at least once a week. Sometimes we go to Denny’s to get pancakes. Who can’t say no to pancakes for dinner?

A Bowlful of Benefits

Did you know that children who eat a bowlful of cereal regularly has benefits? A study in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics found that children who regularly eat cold cereal for breakfast are more likely to be at a healthy weight than eating something else.

Fruit Wraps

I started making fruit wraps for my two-year-old daughter, Katie, and myself. Katie is hit and miss on eating certain fruit. It depends on the mood she is in. One way that I can get her to eat more than few pieces of fruit is to add it to a wrap. She loves it and scarfs it down.
The fruit wraps are great for breakfast or a snack. You can add whatever fruit you have in your house. It will taste good no matter what fruit is inside.
